Well, it’s been a long time!
zStereo has been silent for four years because every time I posted an article, another website stole it – it was very slightly rewritten, and then presented as their own original content, with a different photograph!
Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but it was sad to see my stuff get knocked down the Google rankings, by the website that was plagiarising me. I was displeased, to say the least..
The whole idea of this website was to be a resting place for my legacy articles for Hi-Fi World and others, dating back to the mid-1990s – simply to pass on information, with no commercial benefit to me.
A close friend of mine is a successful entertainment industry lawyer, based in the USA and specialising in copyright protection. He said, “let’s march them to the doors of the court!” But I couldn’t be bothered – and have had much to do elsewhere in life, in my job, personal life, health, etc.
Anyway, for a while now I’ve been co-presenting Hi-Fi Riff on YouTube. That’s one thing that plagiarists can’t copy. Check it out, you might find it fun: https://www.youtube.com/@Hi-FiRiff/videos.
